Default Aura of Restoration?

I am a level 13 e/n. Right now I have the following skills equppied on my skill bar:

Flare
Fireball
Aura of Restoration
Lava Front
Firestorm
Phoneix
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Vampiric Stare

I am curious as to whether or not aura of restoration is useful at the high levels. Is there a point in the game where it heals so little, yet you recieve so much damage that it renders useless? Right now its useful in my opinion but I'm wondering if by the time I get to Lion's Arch it just won't help. Is there some sort of upgraded version of the skill like there is of Glyph?

Depends on the build. Funny thing I found...wanna run a dual attunement build I think the amount healed is calculated on the original energy spent. Meaning even though an orb costs 3 energy a piece you can get healed for up to about 62 health per shot. If you wanna shoot off one per 2.7 seconds using arcane echo or something then ok you've got a good deal.

More useful however, its an enchant that dosen't cost a whole lot...and lasts LONG. Why do I bring this up?...You want this with something like Ether Renewal.

This btw is the upgraded version you're talking about. Most people use it with smiting...and stack as many enchants on themselves as possible since smiting is full of enchants, basically its 10 seconds of god-mode. Unlimited energy and more healing than a warm chicken soup. Aura of restoration...helps by adding another enchant for it to calculate.

aura of restoration is great in 4-4 for some self healing, and good in an emo smiter build as an additional, easily maintanable enchantment for ER fuel. beyond that, i doubt it

ER > aura if thats what you mean. (ether renewal)

That ER sounds interesting. Where do you get it?

Of course it is. Attunements give energy back after you finish casting; they have no effect on the baseline cost of skills. For example, if you get a Lightning Orb interrupted, you will have lost 15 energy irregardless of having Ele Attunement and Air Attunement up.

mmm gimme a hug. I've learnt not to trust the in game descriptions...they're usually misleading on some unforseen and wildly pedantic yet ultimately needed level.
